2 piece sapele back, Spalted maple top, black walnut skunk stripe.
3 piece laminate neck with scarf joint.
Rosewood fretboard, no inlays, side dots only.
Pearloid binding on body & neck.
Poly finish to maple top & headstock face.
Oil finish to back of neck & body.
Fully shielded electronics & pickup cavities, Vintage style cloth wrapped & braided wiring.
2 humbucking pickups. Iron Gear Blues Engines.
This guitar has a thinner than standard maple top & a shallow neck angle to give a less vaulted string position over the body. Althought the back keeps the mass normally associated with an instrument of this type.
The neck has AEolian guitar's platform profile, which makes it feel very thin in the hand despite being 22-25mm thick. All the benefits of ultra fast playability found in modern 'super strats' & the added tone afforded by a thicker heavier neck. Vintage series Blues Engine pickups & strings anchored through the body combine to give a 50's tone.
